Educational Programs

For Illinois clients in Kane and surrounding counties, we offer two regularly scheduled educational programs held at Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Aurora, 70 S. River Street, Aurora IL 60506:

Credit When Credit is Due - If you want to improve your credit rating due to bad credit or problem credit, this class is for you. When you successfully complete this class, you will have increased your financial knowledge and become a better credit risk for a loan. Please contact the agency for class schedules. The class costs $65 per person, which includes the book, registration fee, and program. Payment can be made in cash or by money order, and is nonrefundable. Money orders should be made payable to Consumer Credit Counseling of Aurora.

Get Checking - If you currently do not have a bank account, this class is for you. After successfully completing this class, you will be able to open a checking and/or a savings account with one of our participating banks. Please contact the agency for class schedules. The class costs $50 per person, which includes the book, registration fee, and program. Payment can be made in cash or by money order, and is nonrefundable. Money orders should be made payable to Consumer Credit Counseling of Aurora.

In addition to these two classes, we offer workshops on protecting yourself from identity theft, First Time Home Buyer Class, Pre-Bankruptcy Class, Post-Bankruptcy class, and can also tailor educational presentations to meet the needs of businesses, schools or clubs in Kane and surrounding counties in Illinois.
