Internships

Family Counseling Service is a training site for students completing a master’s degree in a therapy-related field (counseling, psychology, social work, etc.). We partner with local schools, including Aurora University, Adler School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University, Benedictine University, Roosevelt University, Northern Illinois University, and others.

Family Counseling Service offers master’s candidates a chance to learn under the guidance of experienced therapists at the premier counseling agency in the Fox Valley area. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to practice in a wide variety of behavioral health programs, participating in a well-rounded training experience that will prepare you to work in almost any area of the behavioral health field. Interning students are treated as members of the agency’s professional staff and are afforded the same training and service opportunities, while receiving additional individual and group clinical supervision.

Hours are flexible, some evening and/or weekend hours are required. Some short-distance travel may be required.
